- Principles and Practice -

Peter Bloch

Peter Bloch studied Philosophy, Theology and Classics at the University of Exeter for seven years before training as a teacher of the Alexander Technique in London. He has taught the Alexander Technique for 30 years, including five years at the Royal Northern College of Music, and five years as the assistant director of the Manchester training school for teachers.

Peter has a broad knowledge of the theoretical models and the therapeutic practice of several existential and relational person-centred psychotherapies and many years experience as a peer counsellor. He has been developing the foundations of Bloch Healing as an application of the core principles of these therapeutic models through the modality of touch since 1992, and offering it to clients as a distinct therapeutic approach since 2005.
